Petersen Rock Garden

After a night in Redmond, OR, we visited Petersen Rock Garden, about 10 miles SW of Redmond. This has many objects made from rocks Mr. Petersen collected from the area. Some are very beautiful. Some are surrounded by small ponds. Some are large, as shown below, and others are more doll house in size. My wife thinks Mr. Petersen had too much time on his hands. He was supposed to be a farmer. These were all built from 1935 to 1955.

Several copy historical structures, as above and at right. The liberty statue is not made from area rocks, but the pedestal is.
